The battle for tomorrow continues.

Fresh from San Diego Comic Con, check out the newly-released official featurette for "Terminator: Dark Fate," the much-buzzed-about new installment in the "Terminator" film series, which is serving as a direct sequel to 1991's "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."

With the idea that fans can just disregard all those other "Terminator" sequels after T2, like if they never existed, "Dark Fate" has been set-up as the first of a possible new trilogy, which is being closely supervised by producer James Cameron and "Deadpool" director Tim Miller.

Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) stars as Grace, a human/cyborg super soldier who is sent from the future to modern-day Mexico to protect a new future-mother, named Dani Ramos (played by Colombian actress Natalia Reyes).

Grace and Dani wind up teaming up with a now silver-haired Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton, reprising her role for the first time since T2: Judgment Day) and a grizzled T-800 model (once again played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) as they try to fight off a new, highly-advanced, black-liquid metal Terminator (played by TV's "Ghost Rider" actor Gabriel Luna).

Acclaimed visual effects artist, and self-proclaimed Terminator super-fan, Tim Miller directs the action-sci-fi film. It's his first directing effort since making his directorial debut with 2016's ground-breaking comic book blockbuster "Deadpool."

Co-starring Diego Boneta (Scream Queens) and Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) -- and according to a recent Comic-Con announcement, fans can expect actor Edward Furlong to be back as John Connor, "Terminator: Dark Fate" arrives in theaters on November 1st.
