The official final trailer has been released for "IT Chapter Two," the eagerly-anticipated second installment of director Andy Muschietti's two-part chiller based on Stephen King's classic horror novel.
Set almost three decades after the events of the 2017 adaptation, the upcoming film follows the now-adult versions of the Losers Club as they reunite in their hometown of Derry, Maine after decades of not seeing each other. It seems Pennywise, the child-killing clown (again played by Bill Skarsgard ) is also back to terrorize the town one more time.
Jessica Chastain stars in the film as the adult Beverly; James McAvoy as the adult Bill; Bill Hader as the adult Richie; James Ransone as the adult Eddie; Isaiah Mustafa as adult Mike; Jay Ryan as adult Ben, and Andy Bean as adult Stanley.
The sequel will also feature flashback scenes, in which the kids from Chapter One return to reprise their roles -- among them are Sophia Lillis (as Beverly), Jaeden Martell (as Bill), Finn Wolfhard (as Richie), Jack Dylan Grazer (as Eddie), Chosen Jacobs (as Mike), Jeremy Ray Taylor (as Ben), and Wyatt Oleff (as Stanley).
Muschietti once again directs from an adapted screenplay by horror scribe Gary Dauberman (IT, Annabelle Film Series).
Currently being promoted this week at the San Diego Comic Con, "IT Chapter Two" is hitting theaters September 6th. Watch the trailer, above.
