Joe Manganiello plays a once promising ball player who gets a second chance to play in the big leagues in the trailer for the indie baseball redemption drama "Bottom of the 9th."

Starring alongside his real-life wife, "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara as his love interest, Manganiello plays Sonny Stano, a Bronx native who, after a 17-year stint in prison, returns home where he tries to reintegrate back into society. He is soon given the opportunity to prove that he can still do what he did before jail -- play baseball!

Co-starring Michael Rispoli, Denis O'Hare, James Madio, and Vincent Pastore, the film is directed by New York filmmaker Raymond De Felitta, whose credits include writing and directing the acclaimed indie films "Two Family House" and "City Island."

Recently acquired by Saban Films and produced by Manganiello along with his brother Nick, "Bottom of the 9th" is being released in theaters July 19th.
