Mary Ann Singleton returns to Barbary Lane!

Emmy-winner Laura Linney (Ozark) stars alongside Ellen Page (The Umbrella Academy) in this ten-episode Netflix limited series, which is inspired by the acclaimed LGBTQ-themed novels by famed San Francisco author Armistead Maupin.

"Tales of the City" centers on Mary Ann Singleton (Linney), a Midwestern-born conservative-raised woman who, twenty years ago, made a home for herself in the most unlikely of places -- a close-knit, openly-gay neighborhood in downtown San Francisco.

After leaving to pursue a career in Connecticut, Mary, now divorced, has returned to 28 Barbary Lane, a LGBTQ-friendly San Francisco apartment building, which is owned by aging bohemian landlady Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), who is known for treating her tenants like her own children. Once there, Mary reconnects with her old friends from the neighborhood and reunites with her estranged lesbian daughter (Page), who apparently does not know that she isn't her biological mother.

Written and executive produced by "Orange Is the New Black" producer Lauren Morelli, "Tales of the City" is set to premiere June 7th, only on Netflix. Watch the newly-released official trailer, above.
