A brand-new official trailer has been released for "Swamp Thing," DC's new original streaming series based on the iconic DC horror comic book character created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson.
The new preview provides a look at Alec Holland (played by Andy Bean, from the upcoming "IT Chapter Two"), a brilliant scientist who, while investigating a deadly swamp-born virus in Louisiana, is unexpectedly transformed into a humanoid swamp creature.
The horror series, which hails from executive producers Mark Verheiden (of "Battlestar Galactica" and "Falling Skies") and Gary Dauberman (screenwriter of "Annabelle" and "IT Chapter One and Two"), also stars Crystal Reed (from FOX's "Gotham") as Abby Arcane, a CDC specialist who was working with Alec when he survived a near-fatal explosion, which ends up turning him into a green swamp-like monster.
Co-starring Virginia Madsen, Will Patton, Kevin Durand, and Jennifer Beals with "Underworld" director Len Wiseman helming the pilot episode, "Swamp Thing" is being released exclusively on the streaming service DC Universe on May 31st.
