Tom Payne, who recently played the fan-favorite 'Jesus' on the hit zombie series "The Walking Dead," is getting the opportunity to lead his own network show.

He stars as a former FBI criminal profiler who also happens to be the son of a notorious serial killer (played by Michael Sheen) in FOX's new fall crime-thriller series "Prodigal Son," for which an official trailer has been released.

Created by Chris Fedak (Deception, Chuck) and Sam Sklaver (Deception, Bored to Death) and executive produced by mega TV producer Greg Berlanti alongside his frequent producing partner Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, etc.), the forthcoming series follows the exploits of Malcolm Bright (Payne), a young FBI agent who is called in to help investigate a serial-killer case in which someone is copycatting the infamous murders of Malcolm's notorious father, the "surgeon" (Sheen).

The Fall series also stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Bellamy Young, Halston Sage, and Aurora Perrineau.

"Prodigal Son" is a part of FOX's 2019/2020 fall show line-up, and will premiere sometime in the fall. To check out more previews of FOX Fall shows, click here.
