Academy Award-winner Renee Zellweger has joined the Netflix family. She plays a mysterious venture capitalist who likes to screw with people's heads as well as toy with people's emotions in the new Netflix anthology series "What/If," for which an official trailer has been released.

Hailing from "Revenge" creator Mike Kelley, the limited mystery-thriller series, which is much in the vein of the 1993 film "Indecent Proposal," revolves around a swanky, well-to-do benefactor, named Anne Montgomery (Zellweger) who goes around offering money to financially-strapped couples in exchange for doing something extremely indecent or immoral. For those who accept her eye-raising proposals, their lives are forever changed, mostly in a negative way.

The Netflix series also stars Jane Levy (Hulu's Castle Rock), Blake Jenner (The Edge of Seventeen), Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Dave Annable (TV's Brothers & Sisters), and Louis Herthum (HBO's Westworld).

"What/If: Season 1" is set to debut May 24th, only on Netflix.
