Cinemax has released the first official teaser for "Jett," an upcoming crime-noir series, which is serving as a starring vehicle for Carla Gugino, from "Sin City," "Watchmen," and most recently Netflix's hit horror series "The Haunting of Hill House."

Following the exploits of a world-class thief and ex-convict named Daisy "Jett" Kowalski, who finds herself being pulled back into the criminal underworld by nefarious gangsters, "Jett" hails from Gugino's longtime partner, Sebastian Gutierrez, a screenwriter and director whose credits include writing the screenplays for "Gothika" and "Snakes on a Plane," as well as writing and directing the indie films "Elektra Luxx," "Hotel Noir," "Girl Walks Into a Bar," and "Elizabeth Harvest."

Gutierrez is writing and directing the entire nine-episode series, which also co-stars "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" actor Giancarlo Esposito, who plays a dangerous and notorious criminal.

"Jett: Season 1" is scheduled to premiere sometime in June, only on Cinemax.
