When the seaside town of Neptune is hit with a vicious crime wave, it's up to Veronica Mars and her private-eye father to find out who's behind the recent attacks.

Check out the official teaser for Hulu's forthcoming Season 4 revival of the cult detective-mystery series "Veronica Mars," in which Kristen Bell returns to play the ex-teen, now-adult sleuth.

Created and written by Rob Thomas, the eight-episode mini-series follows the events of 2014's "Veronica Mars" movie, which was famously funded on Kickstarter.

Season 4 will see Veronica back home, living and working as a private investigator in her hometown of Neptune, California. When the seaside town is suddenly terrorized by a series of bombings, Veronica uncovers a conspiracy to disrupt Neptune's annual swell of rowdy spring breakers.

While featuring most of the original cast members that include Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, and Percy Daggs III, "Veronica Mars: Season 4" is adding J. K. Simmons, Patton Oswalt, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Clifton Collins Jr., and Mary McDonnell to the cast.

"Veronica Mars" returns this summer, starting July 26th, only on Hulu.

synopsis:
Mystery. Parties. Scandal. Corruption. Season 4 is going be the most explosive one yet.

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town's lifeblood tourist industry.

After Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son's killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave's wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast's answer to Daytona Beach.
