It's one of Netflix's most-watched foreign-language series, and it's returning this summer with its much-anticipated second season.

Check out the official teaser for Season 2 of "Dark," a head-scratching sci-fi mystery thriller that has been touted as the German-version of "Stranger Things" and "The OA."

While dealing with time-travel elements of wormholes, the critically acclaimed series is structured around flashbacks and narrative puzzles, spanning over several decades from 1953 to 1986 to a possible apocalyptic near-future.

Set in a small German town located near a nuclear power plant, the first season revolved around the mysterious disappearances of two young children, in which four families are set off on a desperate search for answers, delving into the town's shady history.

"Dark" is created by Swiss-German filmmaker Baran bo Odar, who directs the entire series.

It's also co-created and co-written by German screenwriter Jantje Friese, who previously wrote director Baran bo Odar's acclaimed 2014 hacker thriller "Who Am I."

"Dark: Season 2" premieres June 21st on Netflix.
