While trying to prove Einstein's time travel theory, a pair of teenage whiz kids in Brooklyn design a homemade time machine. But when one of their brothers is tragically killed in a police-involved shooting, they work with urgency to fix the flaws of their invention in the aim of changing history.

Check out the official trailer for "See You Yesterday," the new Netflix original movie from producer Spike Lee, starring newcomers Eden Duncan-Smith and Dante Crichlow as two high school best friends and science prodigies who jump back in time on a mission to prevent a tragedy from happening.

Stefon Bristol, a protege of Spike Lee, who worked as his assistant on "BlacKkKlansman," makes his feature directorial debut with "See You Yesterday," which is based on Bristol's 2017 short film of the same name, which also starred Eden Duncan-Smith and Dante Crichlow.

Co-starring rapper/actor Astro (Earth to Echo, The X Factor), "See You Yesterday" is set to premiere May 17th, only on Netflix.

synopsis:
High school best friends and science prodigies C.J. and Sebastian spend every spare minute working on their latest homemade invention: backpacks that enable time travel. But when C.J.'s older brother Calvin dies after an encounter with police officers, the young duo decide to put their unfinished tech to use in a desperate bid to save Calvin.

From director Stefon Bristol and producer Spike Lee comes SEE YOU YESTERDAY, a sci-fi adventure grounded in familial love, cultural divides and the universal urge to change the wrongs of the past.
