Featuring the voices of stand-up comedians Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong, "Tuca & Bertie" is a new adult-themed, female-centric animated comedy series created by cartoonist/illustrator Lisa Hanawalt, who is also the producer and production designer of Netflix's zany cult cartoon hit "BoJack Horseman."
The new Netflix series, which is also executive produced by "BoJack Horseman" creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, takes place in a typical metropolitan city, only all the citizens are anthropomorphic animals. The show tells the adventures and misadventures of a pair of female best friends and roommates -- a cocky, carefree toucan named Tuca (Haddish) and an anxious, daydreaming songbird named Bertie (Wong).
Among those who are also lending their voices to the series are Steven Yeun, Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler, and Tessa Thompson.
