To take down a genetically-enhanced super-villain who calls himself "the black superman," two of the world's most biggest and toughest super-agents must put aside their differences and work together to save the world. That is, if they don't kill each other first.

Check out the new official trailer for the highly-anticipated "Fast & Furious" spinoff, in which action superstars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are once again sharing the screen as outlaw lawman Luke Hobbs and international rogue spy Deckard Shaw.

Set after the events of the last "Fast and Furious" movie, the new action film centers solely on frenemies Hobbs and Shaw (Johnson and Statham). This time, they are working together, begrudgingly, to help out Shaw's sister, an undercover MI6 agent (played by "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" actress Vanessa Kirby), to hunt down a maniacal bulletproof terrorist known as Brixton aka "the Black Superman" (played here by Idris Elba).

Of course, a mission this big is going to require Hobbs to travel back home and enlist the help of his badass brothers. And to get things done, they're going "old school."

Co-starring Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver) with Oscar-winner Helen Mirren reprising her role as Shaw's mother, Magdalene, "Hobbs & Shaw" is directed by stunt coordinator-turned-film director David Leitch, who just helmed the R-Rated superhero blockbuster "Deadpool 2" and also previously helmed the Charlize Theron actioner "Atomic Blonde" and as well as co-directed the first "John Wick" movie.

"Hobbs & Shaw" is being released worldwide on August 2nd.

Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), a loyal agent of America's Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Jason Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015's Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they've tried to take each other down.

But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever -- and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw's sister -- these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

Hobbs & Shaw blasts open a new door in the Fast universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.
