Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of the Danish-language post-apocalyptic survival thriller "The Rain," which centers on a group of young Scandinavian survivors trying to restore what's left of society six years after deadly contaminated rain storms nearly killed off the world's population, which forced people to live in underground bunkers for several years.
The series is created by Danish television writers Jannik Tai Mosholt (Borgen, Rita), Esben Toft Jacobsen (The Great Bear, Beyond Beyond) and Christian Potalivo (Dicte, The New Tenants), and it stars Danish actors Alba August, Lucas Lynggaard Tonnesen, and Mikkel Boe Folsgaard.
Season 2 will continue the journey of two Danish siblings as they find themselves embroiled in the hunt to find a cure for the deadly virus.
"The Rain" is set to return May 17th, only on Netflix. Watch the official trailer, above.
