Amazon has released an official featurette for "Good Omens," a six-part adaptation of the award-winning, best-selling novel of the same name written by the late, fantasy writer Terry Pratchett and comic book writer Neil Gaiman.

A co-production between Amazon Prime and BBC Two, "Good Omens" stars Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex, The Queen) and David Tennant (Doctor Who, Jessica Jones) as an odd pair of celestial beings who's been living on Earth since the Garden of Eden. Sheen plays a finicky uptight angel named Aziraphale, while Tennant is a freewheeling apathetic demon named Crowley.

When the world is on the verge of total destruction, Aziraphale and Crowley must team up to prevent a battle between heaven and hell. Step One: They must find and kidnap an 11-year-old orphan boy who just so happens to be the Antichrist. Step Two: They must prevent Armageddon from happening, or die trying.

British TV helmer Douglas Mackinnon (Doctor Who, Outlander) directs from an adapted script by Neil Gaiman, who also serves as one of the executive producers on the limited series.

Co-starring Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising), Nick Offerman (Parks and Rec), and Jack Whitehall (Jungle Cruise) with Oscar-winner Frances McDormand as the voice of God, "Good Omens" is due to premiere May 31st in the U.S. on Amazon Prime Video.

synopsis:
With Armageddon just days away, the armies of Heaven and Hell are amassing and The Four Horsemen are ready to ride. Aziraphale, an angel, and Crowley, a demon, agree to join forces to find the missing Anti-Christ and to stop the war that will end everything.

Based on the best-selling novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Good Omens follows an unlikely duo and their quest to save the world.
