They're the world's greatest superheroes, and they can do whatever the "f--k" they want!

Check out the new official uncensored teaser trailer for "The Boys," Amazon's new streaming series based on the gritty, edgy, ultra-violent comic book series of the same name created by writer Garth Ennis (the creator of "Preacher") and illustrator Darick Robertson.

"People love superheroes," says Karl Urban (Dredd, Star Trek) in the above preview. "But if you knew half the shit they get up to ... it's f--king diabolical."

The series, which is executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg alongside "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke, is set in a contemporary world where superheroes not only exist, but are widely revered by the public and treated like famous celebrities.

Urban plays one of the founding members of "the Boys," an underground team of working-class vigilantes who take it upon themselves to investigate and take down corrupt, dirty, corporate-funded superheroes.

Playing the other members of the Boys are Laz Alonso (Detroit, Avatar), Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), and Tomer Kapon (Entebbe), while Jack Quaid (Logan Lucky) plays the newest recruit.

The first season will follow the Boys as they go on a secret mission to take down "The Seven," who are the most corrupted superhero team in the world -- they also happen to be the world's most famous. Think Justice League meets The Watchmen.

Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Dominique McElligott, Antony Starr, and Nathan Mitchell co-star as members of The Seven.

Elisabeth Shue (Battle of the Sexes, Leaving Las Vegas) also co-stars as Madelyn Stillwell. She is a steely executive of a shadowy superhero-endorsement corporation called Vought International. They fund and preside over The Seven.

"The Boys" is currently scheduled to premiere Friday, July 26th, only on Amazon Prime Video.

synopsis:
In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, THE BOYS centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as "The Boys," who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.

THE BOYS is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes -- who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods -- abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and Vought -- the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.
