"Get Out" actress Allison Williams has again jumped into the horror genre, this time, playing a troubled cello prodigy in this twisty psychological thriller "The Perfection."

The Netflix original film, for which an official trailer has been released, also stars Logan Browning, from the darkly comic Netflix series "Dear White People."

In the film, Williams and Browning play Charlotte and Lizzie, a pair of classical cellists who are working together in the same repertory. When the two women develop a mentor-and-mentee type of friendship, they start to suffer from severe levels of psychological distress, resulting in a hallucinatory haze of nightmarish visions.

While being compared to dark thrillers like "Black Swan" and "The Handmaiden," the film has earned solid reviews since premiering last year at Fantastic Fest.

Emmy-winning TV director and filmmaker Richard Shepard (Dom Hemingway, The Hunting Party, The Matador), who previously worked with Williams on HBO's hit series "Girls," directed the Netflix thriller.

Shepard also co-wrote the script with Eric C. Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, creators of the short-lived Sarah Michelle Gellar-starring mystery thriller series "Ringer."

"The Perfection" is due to premiere on Netflix starting May 24th. Watch the trailer, above.
