When a teenage girl suffers a near-fatal heart attack, she receives a lifesaving heart transplant. But soon she is haunted by nightmarish visions and horrific impulses, leading her to question whether or not her new donated heart is tainted with a certain type of darkness and evil.

Check out the official trailer for "Chambers," Netflix's new supernatural psychological thriller series, starring newcomer Sivan Alyra Rose as a young heart attack survivor who is given a new, healthy heart that once belonged to a recently-deceased teenage girl from a well-to-do, philanthropic family.

Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) and Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) play the bereaved parents of the deceased heart donor. Despite their normal domestic appearances, they are not quite what they seem and are not to be trusted.

It feels like black magic is at play here, especially when both parents display a not-so-subtle-creepy demeanor. They possibly may have something to do with the fact that the heart recipient has begun to take on the sinister traits of their dead daughter.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, the Emmy-nominated director of "American Horror Story" and director of the Sundance hit "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," directs the premiere episode of "Chambers," which was created by Leah Rachel.

The series will start streaming on Netflix April 26th.

synopsis:
