It's Disney's epic story of a young lion prince named Simba, who is forced into exile, but returns home years later to reclaim his African kingdom. And now it's told with photorealistic computer-generated talking animals!
Check out the newly-released full-length trailer for the much-talked-about, much-anticipated "Lion King" redo, which is brought to you by Jon Favreau, the director of the very successful "Jungle Book" remake.
Based on Disney's classic 1994 animated adventure musical about the journey of a young cub who must grow up to be a king and face daunting obstacles to carry on his father's legacy.
The voice cast features Donald Glover as Prince Simba; James Earl Jones as Simba's father, King Mufasa; Alfre Woodard as Simba's Queen mother, Sarabi, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Simba's evil uncle, Scar.
Meanwhile, other voices include Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, the warthog; John Oliver as Zazu, the hornbill; Billy Eichner as Timon, a wise-cracking meerkat; Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, the hyena and Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Nala, Simba's childhood love-interest.
"The Lion King" is set to opens everywhere July 19th.
