Comedian Kumail Nanjiani is in for the ride of his life when he picks up pro-wrestler-turned-action star Dave Bautista in the buddy/cop comedy "Stuber," for which the first official trailer has just been released.

The "Silicon Valley" star plays a modest, dweeby Uber driver named Stu. While about to start his day of ride-sharing, Stu gets the surprise of his life when his new passenger turns out to be a rugged, hard-boiled, and hung-over LAPD detective (played by the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star) who desperately wants to go to Compton for "official police business."

What started as a typical Uber ride quickly turns into an extremely dangerous ride along, complete with deadly gun battles, explosive car chases, and one cool-looking pitbull.

"Stuber" is directed by Michael Dowse, the Canadian director of the cult comedies "Goon," "It's All Gone Pete Tong," "Take Me Home Tonight," and "What If (The F Word)."

Co-starring Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Mira Sorvino, and Karen Gillan with Indonesian action star Iko Uwais as a deadly and elusive heroin dealer, "Stuber" is racing into theaters July 12th.
