When teenagers from upper-middle-class families are left alone for weeks, they are forced to fend for themselves in an abandoned city. Everything soon descends into chaos and violence as the children form a new, strict social structure.

Check out the first official teaser trailer for the new Netflix series "The Society." It's a modern take on "Lord of the Flies" and features a large ensemble cast of mostly young actors, including Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies), Grace Victoria Cox (Under the Dome), Gideon Adlon (Blockers), Rachel Keller (Legion), Alex Fitzalan (Slender Man), Alex MacNicoll (Transparent), Toby Wallace (Romper Stomper), and many more.

The Netflix series is being executive produced by Christopher Keyser (creator of "Party of Five") and filmmaker Marc Webb (director of "500 Days of Summer" and "The Amazing Spider-Man").

"The Society: Season 1" premieres May 10th on Netflix.

THE SOCIETY follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town, left without any trace of their parents. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.
