Disney has released a brand-new TV spot for "Aladdin," the live-action adaptation of the classic animated musical about how a penniless street urchin got the chance to become a charming prince in a ploy to win the heart of a princess after freeing a wisecracking, wish-giving blue genie from a magical lamp.

Directed by British helmer Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), the fairy-tale adventure film stars Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud (from the Hulu series "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan") as the title character, while superstar Will Smith takes on the role of the Genie, appearing both in CGI and human forms.

British-Indian actress Naomi Scott (Power Rangers, upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot) is playing the beautiful Princess Jasmine while Dutch-Tunisian actor Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express) is the nefarious power-hungry sorcerer Jafar.

"Aladdin" will feature new recordings of the classic songs from the original animated musical and also include two new additional songs written by legendary Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken with lyrics by Oscar-and-Tony Award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen).

"Aladdin" arrives in theaters everywhere May 24th.
