"Star Trek" actor Zachary Quinto goes from Spock to spooky as he plays a creepy Christmas-obsessed immortal who feeds off the souls of children in the first official trailer for AMC's new supernatural horror series "NOS4A2" (pronounced "Nosferatu").

Executive produced and developed into a series by showrunner Jami O'Brien (Fear The Walking Dead, Hell On Wheels), "NOS4A2" is an adaptation of horror author Joe Hill's (son of Stephen King) best-selling novel of the same name, which tells the frightening story of Charlie Manx (Quinto), a centuries-old supernatural fiend who needs to feed on the souls of small children in order to keep living. Once he's done with his victims, he banishes them -- or what's left of them -- to a fantasy place he calls Christmasland, a faraway snow-covered village where every day is Christmas Day, and unhappiness is against the law.

Up-and-coming Australian actress Ashleigh Cummings (Hounds of Love) also stars in the series as Victoria "Vic" McQueen. She is a young feisty bike-riding misfit who has a really special gift for finding missing things. But when she unexpectedly discovers a gateway to Christmasland, she takes it upon herself to rescue all the missing children. She also vows to put an end to Charlie Manx and "burn Christmasland to the ground." Of course, that's easier said than done.

Playing Manx's chief minion, Bing Partridge, is American-Icelandic actor Olafur Darri Olafsson (The Last Witch Hunter, Lady Dynamite). The rest of the supporting cast includes Virginia Kull, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Jahkara Smith.

"NOS4A2: Season 1" is slated to premiere this summer, beginning Sunday, June 1st on AMC.
