In "The Silence," Oscar-nominee Stanley Tucci and Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) play a father and daughter trying to survive in a world overrun by vicious flying creatures that hunt by sound. Think: "A Quiet Place" meets "The Birds."

Based on the horror novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon, the Netflix creature thriller is directed by veteran cinematographer-turned-film director John R. Leonetti, who previously helmed the teen supernatural horror "Wish Upon" and the hit 'Conjuring' spin-off "Annabelle."

The film also stars Miranda Otto (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), John Corbett (To All the Boys I've Loved Before), Kate Trotter (Covert Affairs), Kyle Breitkopf (Wonder), Dempsey Bryk (Black Mirror: Arkangel), and Billy MacLellan (Defiance).

"The Silence" is due to premiere on Netflix April 10th. Watch the newly-released trailer, above.
