Love kills. Or perhaps, in this case, love stabs you in the belly.

Golden Globe-winner Sandra Oh and breakout star Jodie Comer are back at it again, playing two vastly different women -- a paid-grade MI5 security officer named Eve Polastri and a relentless psychopathic assassin code-named Villanelle -- who find themselves emotionally obsessed with each other, despite their failed attempts at assassinating one another, in the critically acclaimed spy-vs-killer series "Killing Eve."

Created and written by English actress/writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, of "Fleabag" fame, the darkly comic thriller is based on the novella series by author Luke Jennings. After Season 1 became a critical hit and a cult phenomenon last year, the series returns next week with a fair amount of hype and buzz.

BBC America has released the final trailer for Season 2, which immediately picks up where the last season left off: Villanelle (Comer) is seen waking up in a hospital with a stab wound in her belly. "Sometimes when you love someone," she says. "You will do crazy things."

"Killing Eve: Season 2" premieres Sunday, April 7th, airing simultaneously on BBC America and AMC in the U.S.

synopsis:
KILLING EVE is the story of two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle, the beautiful, psychopathic assassin that she has been tasked to find.

Season 2 begins 30 seconds after the final episode of the first season; Eve is reeling and Villanelle has disappeared. Eve has no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead, and now both of them are in deep trouble. Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does, but unfortunately, she's not the only person looking for her.
