Despite growing angrier by the day, those flightless angry birds and the scheming green piggies must put aside their differences to defeat a common enemy.

Check out the new official trailer for "The Angry Birds 2 Movie," the second installment of the CG-animated comedy franchise based on the highly addictive video game app of the same name.

Comedian Jason Sudeikis returns to voice Red, the ill-tempered outcast bird who, in the last film, organized an army of birds to save Bird Island from devious green-colored pigs.

In the new movie, Red is shocked to find himself partnering up with green pig leader, Leonard (Bill Hader) when he learns there's another nearby island of angry birds -- only these birds are angrier and meaner and have the power to destroy them all.

The sequel will feature returning voices from Josh Gad, Danny McBride, and Peter Dinklage, while new voice additions include Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, and Leslie Jones.

Directed by animator-turned-first-time feature director Thurop Van Orman (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time), "The Angry Birds 2 Movie" is hitting theaters this summer, August 16th.
