It's been a little over a decade since the last time Hellboy was seen on the big screen. But he's set to return next month in an all-new R-rated reboot, which sees "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour as the titular monster-slaying demon superhero who is generally known for bashing in things with his Right Hand of Doom.

"The fact I get to be a part of Hellboy, I sort of have to pinch myself. I can't believe it," says an enthusiastic Harbour in the new behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming movie, in which the premise is drawing straight from one of comic book artist Mike Mignola's Hellboy story arcs, called "The Witch Hunt."

"It's so exciting when you hear somebody is going to make a movie close to my material," Mignola says in the above clip. "In this film, in particular, they're so many moments directly from the comic."

This time, the Hellboy reboot is directed by British horror filmmaker Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones), and it will see Hellboy running around England as he tries to take down a newly resurrected ancient sorceress, the blood Queen Nimue (played by Milla Jovovich). She's on a mission to drag the entire world into Hell. And in doing so, she unleashes a plethora of demon monsters.

Co-starring Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Sasha Lane, "Hellboy" opens April 12th.

synopsis:
Hellboy is back, and he's on fire.

From the pages of Mike Mignola's seminal work, this action-packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.
