Warner Bros has released a brand-new official TV spot for the upcoming epic monster battle sequel "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," featuring stunning new footage of Kaiju-on-Kaiju action.
"Hey, what's with the light show," a military officer asks in the above commercial. He, along with a crowd of military and scientist officers, are looking at the iconic Kaiju at a secret underwater base. Godzilla appears to be physically emitting a series of flickering lights near the ocean floor.
"It's a intimidation display," explains a Monarch crypto-scientist, played here by Shape of Water's Sally Hawkins. And then suddenly the gigantic lizard swims right pass the underwater viewing area, a near-miss collision that would've killed everyone inside the facility.
"Consider us very intimidated," says a terror-stricken Thomas Middleditch.
Directed by horror filmmaker Michael Dougherty, of "Krampus" and "Trick 'r Treat" fame, "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" also stars The Conjuring's Vera Farmiga as a brilliant fossil scientist who, along with her young teenage daughter (played by Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown) has been taken into custody by the crypto-zoological agency Monarch. She is to figure out a way to communicate with not only Godzilla, but also three of his mightiest adversaries: the moth-like creature Mothra, the winged beast Rodan, and the three-headed monster King Ghidorah.
