Following yesterday's special premiere screening at SXSW, where it received strong early reviews, a brand-new "Long Shot" trailer has been released, offering another look at the on-screen chemistry between Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron.

Here, Rogen plays an unemployed investigative journalist who reconnects with his childhood crush, his former baby-sitter, who now happens to be the most powerful woman in America -- the current US Secretary of State, Charlotte Field (played by Theron). When Charlotte kicks off her presidential campaign, she decides to hire Rogen's character as her personal speech writer. But when they unexpectedly develop feelings for each other, their unconventional "Pretty Woman in reverse" romance turns out to be something that may risk Charlotte's presidential aspirations, at least as far as the optics are concerned.

Jonathan Levine, director of the Christmas comedy "The Night Before" and the cancer dramedy "50/50," directs "Long Shot," which also stars O'Shea Jackson Jr., June Diane Raphael, and Alexander Skarsgard.

Written by Dan Sterling (The Interview) and Liz Hannah (The Post), "Long Shot" opens nationwide May 3rd.

synopsis:
He's a hard-hitting political writer with a talent for trouble. She's the country's top diplomat with a talent for ... well, everything.

When Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) reunites with his first crush who also happens to be the current US Secretary of State, Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron), he charms her with his self-deprecating humor and his memories of her youthful idealism. As she prepares to make a surprise run for the Oval Office, Charlotte hires Fred to punch up her campaign speeches and their unmistakable chemistry leads to a round-the-world affair. But Fred's carefree indiscretions, past and present, could bring down her campaign before it even begins. The film redefines "international relations" with a profane, funny and unexpected love.
