Amazon has released a brand-new official trailer for "Hanna," the upcoming small-screen adaptation of the 2011 action-thriller of the same name.

Newcomer Esme Creed-Miles stars as the titular teen assassin. Raised in the wilderness of Finland, Hanna was trained to be the perfect killing machine by her ex-CIA operative father (played by Suicide Squad's Joel Kinnaman).

After being captured in a surprise CIA attack, Hanna manages to escape from an underground CIA facility. She is forced to go on the run as she tries to hide in Europe. In hot pursuit is a ruthless CIA director (played by The Killing's Mireille Enos) who sees Hanna as an asset that needs to be quickly and quietly eliminated.

The Amazon series is created and written by Emmy-nominated writer David Farr (The Night Manager, McMafia), who also wrote the screenplay for the original film, which starred Saoirse Ronan in the title role.

"Hanna: Season 1" is set to premiere Friday, March 29th on Amazon Prime.
