In space, no one can hear you scream. But Sophie Turner gives it her best shot as she gets transformed into the most powerful mutant ever created in "Dark Phoenix."

Check out a brand-new international trailer, featuring new footage where the X-Men loses a member of their own family and gain an unlikely enemy that will certainly throw their world into total darkness.

"Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner reprises her role as the young red-headed mutant named Jean Grey, who after barely surviving an outer space rescue mission gets blasted by an uncanny cosmic force that transforms her into a much stronger telekinetic and telepathic mutant -- which unfortunately for Jean is slowly taking control of her entire being.

Returning for what is most likely the final chapter of Fox's X-Men Film Franchise is Jennifer Lawrence (as Mystique), James McAvoy (as Professor X), Michael Fassbender (as Magneto), Tye Sheridan (as Cyclops), Nicholas Hoult (as Beast), Evan Peters (as Quicksilver), Alexandra Shipp (as Storm), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (as Nightcrawler). While joining the sequel is Jessica Chastain as a mysterious alien villain who does her best to manipulate the powerful Jean Grey into embracing her darker side.

"X-Men: First Class" screenwriter/film and producer Simon Kinberg makes his directorial debut with "Dark Phoenix," which rises into theaters everywhere on June 7th.

synopsis:
In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
