Idris Elba is getting a chance to flex his comedy muscles as he plays a once-famous, now-struggling club DJ who agrees to take a job as a nanny for a young precocious child in the new Netflix series "Turn Up Charlie," for which an official trailer has been released.

Co-created by Elba and Gary Reich, the eight-episode Netflix series also stars Piper Perabo (TV's Covert Affairs, The Prestige) as a world-class DJ and music producer named Sara who has decided to help her old friend, Charlie (Elba), by offering him a well-paying job.

"A nanny? You want me to be a nanny," Elba's Charlie asks with a stunned look on his face. "I'm sick of having strangers watch my kid," Sara says to Charlie.

And though it may have started as a silly and frustrated baby-sitting job, Charlie soon develops a genuine bond with Sara's 11-year-old rambunctious daughter (played by newcomer Frankie Hervey), who inspires him to mount a comeback.

With various episodes helmed by TV comedy directors Tristram Shapeero (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Community) and Matt Lipsey (Little Britain), "Turn Up Charlie: Season 1" is premiering March 15th on Netflix.
