"The Handmaid's Tale" star Elisabeth Moss gets to tap into her inner Courtney Love as she plays a self-destructive punk rocker in the official trailer for the rock-n-roll drama "Her Smell."

The film, which is Moss's third collaboration with writer-director Alex Ross Perry (Queen of Earth, Listen Up Philip), follows the emotional and physical decline of a drug addicted, self-serving rock-star and mother (played by Moss) who eventually winds up reeling from the repercussions of her destructive behavior and irresponsible actions.

The cast also includes Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad) as a fellow rock-star and Dan Stevens (FX's Legion) as Moss's fed-up husband. Agyness Deyn (Hulu's Hard Sun) and Gayle Rankin (Netflix's GLOW) also co-star in the film as band members.

Rounding out the cast are Amber Heard (Aquaman) and Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction).

"Her Smell," which premiered at TIFF last year and will screen next month at SXSW, is scheduled to hit theaters April 12th. Watch the trailer, above.
