Jimmi Simpson (Westworld, Black Mirror: USS Callister) gets seriously weirded out when he spends the weekend at his family's haunted estate in the new official trailer for "Treehouse," the latest installment of "Into the Dark," the horror anthology film series from Hulu and Blumhouse.

Simpson plays a scandal-plagued celebrity chef who decides to skip town to spend some alone time at his deceased father's ranch-style manor. But what was supposed to be a carefree weekend quickly turns into the stuff of nightmares when he discovers the place is haunted by demonic forces, particularly an old creepy treehouse in the backyard.

"Psych" star James Roday directs this psychological chiller, which is the sixth film in Blumhouse's 12-part horror anthology series currently streaming on Hulu, with each new feature-length installment taking place on a different month (or holiday) and being released on a monthly basis.

"Treehouse" premieres Friday, March 1st only on Hulu.

synopsis:
This is the tale of celebu-chef, Peter Rake, who tries to escape a recent wave of negative tabloid exposure by retreating to his family's vacation estate in the woods. But the ghosts of Peter's past are everywhere. This film is neither for the squeamish, nor for those who believe a woman's place is anywhere, but wherever she chooses to be. Or, perhaps that's exactly who it's for?
