Godzilla: King of the Monsters — Official TV Spot: 'Time Has Come"

A brand-new 30-second commercial has been released for "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," which is offering a peek at some Earth-shattering new footage.

The upcoming film, a sequel to the 2014 American reboot of the classic Kaiju film franchise, promises an epic face-off between Godzilla and his mightiest and (quite literally) biggest adversaries: the moth-like creature Mothra, the winged beast Rodan, and the three-headed King Ghidorah.

"Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown plays the young teenage daughter of a brilliant fossil scientist (played by The Conjuring's Vera Farmiga) who are both taken into custody by the crypto-zoological agency Monarch, while terrified government officials get front row seats to the greatest Kaiju showdown in history.

Directed by horror filmmaker Michael Dougherty (Krampus, Trick 'r Treat), "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is also the sequel to the 2017 blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island," establishing a new shared film franchise for Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures, called MonsterVerse, which will also include the forthcoming 2020 monster movie "Godzilla vs. Kong."
