Doom Patrol: Season 1 — New Official Teaser: 'Meet the Team'

added: Fri, Feb 8th '19

Meet the five superhero misfits who make up the Doom Patrol.

"Are we really the best people to hunt a supervillain?" "Hell, no!"

Check out a new official teaser for "Doom Patrol," DC Universe's newest original streaming series based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name.

Executive produced by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural), "Doom Patrol" is a spin-off of DC Universe's first original superhero series "Titans." The upcoming superhero dramedy centers on a motley group of emotionally (and physically) scarred misfits who each have been granted superhuman abilities as a result of traumatic events.

After being recruited by a rogue scientist named Dr. Niles Caulder, aka The Chief, (played by Penny Dreadful's Timothy Dalton), Robotman (voiced by The Mummy's Brendan Fraser), Negative Man (voiced by Magic Mike's Matt Bomer), Elasti-Girl (played by Two and a Half Men's April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (played by Orange Is the New Black's Diane Guerrero), and a new re-imagined Cyborg (played by The First Purge's Joivan Wade) agree to come together to form one super-group, the Doom Patrol, as they investigate the world's weirdest mysteries.

"Doom Patrol: Season 1" premieres next Friday, February 15th, exclusively on the subscription-based streaming service, DC Universe.

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC's most beloved groups of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief).

The Doom Patrol's members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities -- but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence -- and to protect Earth from what they find.

Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.
