They're bald. They're bad. They're buff. And they're now a new dynamic duo! Oh, the "Fast & Furious" franchise just got a little more crazier!
Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are once again teaming up on the big screen, playing outlaw lawman Luke Hobbs and international rogue spy Deckard Shaw in the upcoming F&F spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw," for which the first official trailer has been released.
This time around, it's stunt coordinator-turned-film director David Leitch (of "John Wick," "Atomic Blonde," and "Deadpool 2" fame) who is at the helm of this adrenaline-charged action movie, which also stars Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation), Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Fallout), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), and Eddie Marsan (Deadpool 2) with Oscar-winner Helen Mirren reprising her role as Shaw's mother, Magdalene.
The spin-off centers solely on frenemies Hobbs and Shaw who must work together to help Shaw's sister, a rogue MI6 agent (Kirby), to hunt down a notorious bulletproof terrorist known as Brixton (played by Elba).
Scheduled to open in theaters on August 2nd, "Hobbs & Shaw" is the first spin-off of the ongoing "Fast & Furious" film series, which has a 9th installment currently in production and is slated for next year.
