Amazon has released the Super Bowl trailer for "Hanna," the upcoming streaming action series that's based on the 2011 girl-assassin drama of the same name, which starred Saoirse Ronan and Eric Bana.

In this small-screen adaptation, up-and-coming English actress Esme Creed-Miles (Pond Life, Dark River) takes on the title role as the young teenage girl who was raised in the wilderness of Finland and trained to be the perfect assassin by her ex-CIA operative father -- this time, played by Suicide Squad's Joel Kinnaman.

The series, which is written by Emmy-nominated writer David Farr (The Night Manager, McMafia, Hanna), will follow Hanna and her father as they find themselves pursued by an unrelenting senior CIA official (played by The Killing's Mireille Enos) who wants nothing more than to see them assassinated.

Director Sarah Adina Smith (FX's Legion, Buster's Mal Heart) helmed the premiere hour-long episode of "Hanna," which will be released on Amazon Prime Video right after the Big Game this Sunday. It's a special sneak peek preview, so the pilot episode will only be available to stream for 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the full first season of the Amazon series is currently scheduled to be released officially in March.

In equal parts high-concept thriller and coming-of-age drama, HANNA follows the journey of an extraordinary young girl raised in the forest, as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.
