"Bohemian Rhapsody" star Gwilym Lee is a soon-to-be married man who, while traveling to Australia's Northern Territory, accompanies his fiance (played by Aussie Darwin-born actress Miranda Tapsell) on a mission to find her indigenous mother before their planned wedding in this heartwarming romantic comedy from the makers of 2012's hit Australian musical dramedy "The Sapphires."

Directed by "The Sapphires" helmer Wayne Blair and co-written by star Tapsell and Aussie comedy actor/writer Joshua Tyler (TV's Plonk), "Top End Wedding" takes place in the northern Australian city of Darwin, known as the home of the indigenous Larrakia people.

The film tells the story of a newly engaged interracial couple, Lauren and Ned (played by Tapsell and Lee), as they travel from Sydney to Darwin for their surprise wedding ceremony, only to discover that Lauren's mother has left her father and is currently AWOL. The mission is now to find Lauren's mother by locating her ancestral home island on a once-in-a-lifetime trip through the "top end of the country."

Co-starring Huw Higginson, Elaine Crombie, Ursula Yovich, Shari Sebbens, Dalara Williams, and Kerry Fox, "Top End Wedding" doesn't have an official U.S. release date, but is expected to be released in Australia on May 2nd.
