While it won't be hitting theaters until early 2020, you can now get an early peek at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in a newly-released promo teaser for the new, upcoming DC comic book movie "Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)", which is now in production.

The film, which is also starring Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, and Ella Jay Basco, will see "Suicide Squad" standout villain and former Joker sidekick Harley Quinn (Robbie) returning for her own standalone story.

In it, Harley finds herself partnering up with two other female vigilantes -- the Huntress (Winstead) and Black Canary (Smollett-Bell) -- and a hard-nosed Gotham detective -- Renee Montoya (Perez) -- as they come together to protect a young runaway girl -- Cassandra Cain (Basco) -- from a ruthless crime lord named the Black Mask (McGregor) and a sadistic serial killer, Victor Zsasz (Messina).

In what is essentially an early costume test, the 20-second teaser footage (above) quickly shows off the outfits of the main characters, ending with Harley Quinn in a blonde ponytail and a glittering shag jacket, while sipping a margarita. The screen then reads "See You Soon."

Directed by Chinese-American helmer Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) and written by "Bumblebee" scribe Christina Hodson, the "Birds of Prey" movie is currently slated for a February 7, 2020 theatrical release.
