The Death and Life of John F. Donovan — International Trailer

The first international trailer has been released for "The Death and Life of John F. Donovan," the latest from French-Canadian auteur Xavier Dolan (Mommy, Laurence Anyways), which features "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington as a famous American TV actor who closely guards his private life until he begins a pen-pal relationship with a young fan who eventually grows up to be an actor himself. He's played both by Jacob Tremblay (Room, Wonder) and Ben Schnetzer (Pride, Snowden).

The flashback-laden drama, which premiered to less-than-glowing reviews at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, also stars Natalie Portman, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, Thandie Newton, Michael Gambon, and Sarah Gadon.

"The Death and Life of John F. Donovan" is scheduled to open internationally in March. As of yet, there's no official U.S. release date.

A decade after the death of an American TV star (Kit Harington), a young actor (Ben Schnetzer/Jacob Tremblay) remembers the correspondence he shared with him, as well as the impact these letters had on their respective lives.
