Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer, Fantastic Four) is banged up and bloodied as he prepares to duke it out in the official trailer for "Donnybrook," which also stars Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy, Captain America: Civil War) and Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers).

Set against a three-day brutal backyard cage match, this small-town crime drama follows the lives of three lost souls -- a desperate ex-marine (Bell), a homicidal drug dealer (Grillo) and a young woman with a tragic past (Qualley) -- as they make their way to Donnybrook, an underground bare-knuckle tournament where the last standing fighter will win a $100,000 prize.

Based on the novel of the same name by Frank Bill, the film is written and directed by acclaimed indie filmmaker Tim Sutton (Pavilion, Memphis, Dark Night).

Co-starring James Badge Dale (Hold the Dark) and Pat Healy (Cheap Thrills), "Donnybrook," which won the Best Picture Award at the 2018 Austin Fantastic Fest, is coming to select theaters on February 15th with a VOD release set for February 22.

synopsis:
Three desperate souls must fight their way out of a dead-end world in this bracing, gut-punching glimpse into America's dark underbelly.

Earl (Jamie Bell) is a struggling ex-marine and father determined to make a better life for his family -- no matter what it takes. Angus (Frank Grillo) is a violent, unhinged drug dealer who leaves a trail of death and destruction in his wake. And Delia (Margaret Qualley) is a haunted woman who will do anything to escape a life of crime she can no longer bear.

In their kill-or-be-killed world, all roads lead to the DONNYBROOK: an illicit backwoods cage match where bare-knuckled fighters brawl for a shot at a $100,000 prize. It's either a last-ditch chance at redemption -- or a death sentence.

Blending unflinching brutality with dreamlike lyricism, director Tim Sutton conjures a mesmerizing, visceral vision of life on the extreme margins.
