Showtime has released the official trailer for the upcoming four-part documentary examining the history and legacy of beloved 1990s rap group Wu-Tang Clan, arguably the most influential hip-hop group in music history.

Directed by documentarian, hip-hop historian, and "Mass Appeal" magazine creative director Sacha Jenkins (Burn Motherf-cker Burn!, Fresh Dressed), "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men" examines the rise of the groundbreaking New York Hip-Hop collective, which is composed of East Coast rappers RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna.

The documentary will explore the cultural impact the group had on the country, while also delving into each members' personal backgrounds through the use of archival footage and rarely seen family photos.

Currently slated to make its world premiere this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival, "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men" will air later in the spring on Showtime.

Showtime Documentary Films dives deeper into the music documentary space with Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men, a four-part limited docuseries from filmmaker Sacha Jenkins (BURN MOTHERF-CKER, BURN!) that transcends the music documentary genre by creating a new lane that merges music, socio-cultural commentary and intimate family portrait.
