Members of a hair-metal band get more than they bargained for when they embark on a drug-fueled road trip to the middle of the desert for a rock music festival and are soon ambushed by an army of giant deadly ants in this cheesy horror flick.

Check out the trailer for "Dead Ant," a low-budget B-movie-inspired horror comedy that stars comedian Tom Arnold as the gun-wielding, fast-talking manager of a washed-up rock band (played by Jake Busey, Leisha Hailey, Rhys Coiro, and Cameron Richardson), as they find themselves trapped in the desert and under attack from monster-size insects.

Co-starring Sean Astin, Danny Woodburn, Sydney Sweeney, and Joi Liaye, "Dead Ant" is directed by indie filmmaker Ron Carlson (Tom Cool, All American Christmas Carol).

The film is being released in select theaters and on VOD and Digital HD this Friday, January 25th. It will also be released on Blu-Ray/DVD beginning March 5th.

synopsis:
'80s hair-metal band Sonic Grave finds themselves living off a power ballad they released nearly 30 years ago. Eager to become relevant again in the modern day, they embark on a road trip to Coachella, where their manager has set them up to reinvent themselves. All they need is a hit song, and what better way to come up with one than to take peyote in Joshua Tree and let the music gods work their magic? But the plan quickly falls apart when the group finds themselves under attack by killer ants ... that keep getting bigger!
