Swashbuckling screen legend Errol Flynn, famous for his portrayal of Robin Hood and starring in a series of successful pirate films in the 1930s and '40s, is turned into some kind of a mythical folk hero in the new adventure film "In Like Flynn," which is depicting his early pre-Hollywood years as a young treasure hunter seeking gold in New Guinea.

Australian actor Thomas Cocquerel (Table 19) portrays the young Flynn in the indie Australian film, which also co-stars Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts), Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings), and Corey Large (Kid Cannabis).

Veteran music video, commercial, TV and film director Russell Mulcahy, perhaps best known for helming the first original "Highlander" film and a number of '80s Duran Duran music videos, directs the film, which is getting a limited U.S. theatrical release on January 25th. Watch the trailer, above.
