What is it like to be living in Paris as a young twenty-something?
Netflix's latest foreign import "Paris Is Us" offers a contemporary look at the once famed romantic vacation getaway, which is still blessed with a vibrant nightlife but is currently grappling with political tensions and growing fears of civil unrest.
It's an unvarnished portrait of the City of Lights, as seen through the eyes of a young free-spirited Parisian girl in her twenties (played by French actress Noemie Schmidt).
Co-written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Elisabeth Vogler, "Paris Is Us," which was mostly funded through a Kickstarter campaign, will be released globally on February 22nd, via Netflix. In the meantime, watch the newly-released trailer, above.

Anna is a young Parisian in her twenties. After escaping a close death in a plane crash, Anna reminisces events from her life. In the streets of Paris, she is caught between dream and reality, present and past, in a city ready to explode.
