An audacious sports agent risks his reputation when he attempts to disrupt the power structure of professional basketball in this new Netflix original film, which is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh and written by Tarell Alvin McCraney, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Moonlight."

Set against an NBA lockout in which the current basketball season has been suspended, "High Flying Bird" stars Andre Holland (Castle Rock, Moonlight, The Knick) as Ray Burke, a hotshot sports agent trying to protect the needs of his number-one client, a superstar basketball rookie, played by American Vandal's Melvin Gregg.

When Ray figures out a way to game the system, he launches a strategic plan to tip the power balance in favor of his client. Of course, one false move would result in the end of both of their careers.

Co-starring Deadpool 2's Zazie Beetz, Star Trek's Zachary Quinto, Twin Peaks' Kyle MacLachlan, The Wire's Sonja Sohn, and veteran character actor Bill Duke as an old, wise basketball coach, "High Flying Bird" is scheduled to premiere on Netflix February 8th. Watch the newly-released trailer, above.

His career is on the line, but Ray is playing for higher stakes.
