He's the only person in the world who can hunt down and kill a mythical big-foot monster. He's also the same person who killed the most despicable dictator in history. And he sports a helluva mustache and speaks in a deep gravel voice!

Okay, forget everything you know about WWII or Big Foot for that matter, and feast your eyes on the official trailer for "The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot," which stars beloved character actor Sam Elliott (A Star is Born, Big Lebowski) as the greatest American hero you've never heard of.

Revolving around the fictional tall-tale legend of Calvin Barr, a WWII veteran who apparently was the man who assassinated Adolf Hitler, the upcoming adventure thriller is set in modern times where a now-grizzled Calvin is living a quiet, lo-key life outside the city. But when a government agent tracks him down to enlist his help in hunting an elusive big-foot creature currently carrying a deadly plague, Calvin is up for the task -- though it might very well be his last secret mission.

Playing Calvin Barr in present day is Sam Elliott while Irish actor Aidan Turner (from "The Hobbit" films and TV's "Poldark") plays a young Calvin Barr in flashback scenes alongside Caitlin FitzGerald (from Starz's "Sweetbitter" and Showtime's "Masters of Sex"). The cast also includes Ron Livingston and Larry Miller.

Set to hit theaters and VOD on February 8th, "The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot" is written, directed and produced by horror film producer Robert D. Krzykowski, whose credits include co-producing Lucky McKee's cult horror thriller "The Woman."

synopsis:
Since WWII, Calvin Barr has lived with the secret that he was responsible for the assassination of Adolf Hitler. Now, decades later, the US government has called on him again for a new top-secret mission.

Bigfoot has been living deep in the Canadian wilderness and carrying a deadly plague that is now threatening to spread to the general population. Relying on the same skills that he honed during the war, Calvin must set out to save the free world yet again.
