FX has released the official trailer for Season 3 of Pamela Adlon's critically acclaimed semi-fictional series "Better Things."
Written and directed by Adlon, the series takes a darkly comic look at motherhood, as it's loosely based on Adlon's own personal life in which she plays a fictionalized version of herself, Sam Fox, a working L.A. actress and single mother to three rambunctious teenage daughters (played by Hannah Alligood, Mikey Madison, and Olivia Edward).
British actress Celia Imrie (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Calendar Girls) also co-stars in the FX show as Adlon's eccentric, meddlesome English mother, Phyllis.
"Better Things," in which Adlon has earned back-to-back Emmy nominations for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, will return Thursday, February 28th on FX.
synopsis:
Better Things is the story of Sam Fox, a single mother and working actor with no filter, raising her three daughters in Los Angeles. She also looks after her mother, an English ex-patriate who lives across the street. At the end of the day, Sam’s just trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters’ lives, survive her family, have fun with a friend or two, and maybe squeeze in some private time.
