Netflix has released the official trailer for the four-part documentary series "Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes," which is hailing from Emmy Award-winning documentarian Joe Berlinger, of "Paradise Lost" fame.

Based on never-before-heard audio tape interviews, the docuseries will attempt to delve into the psychotic mind of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, who kidnapped, assaulted, murdered, and mutilated numerous young women during the 1970s.

Told in his own words, the documentary will examine the unique case of Ted Bundy, who for all intents and purposes did not fit the mold of what is normally perceived as a psychopathic murderer. He was intelligent, methodical, and incredibly charismatic. And because of these traits, he had a cult female following, despite being convicted and sent to prison for confessing to 30 homicides.

"Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes" is premiering on Netflix January 24th.

synopsis:
CONVERSATIONS WITH A KILLER: THE TED BUNDY TAPES brings the infamously twisted mind of serial killer Ted Bundy into the light for the very first time and invades our psyche in a fresh yet terrifying way through exclusive, never-before-heard interviews from the "Jack the Ripper of the United States," himself.

This unique and gripping docuseries focuses on a man whose personality, good looks and social graces defied the serial-killer stereotype, allowing him to hide in plain sight as he committed the brutal sex-crime slayings of more than 30 women before being caught in 1978. While on trial, Bundy received extraordinary adoration from American women, which made his gruesome crimes doubly haunting, even in an era of anything-goes mayhem.
